MEET THE TEAM
Always having a love of cooking, Rachel Gaona founded Spoonful of Sugar in the fall of 2017. The business specialized in French Macarons, Gourmet Marshmallows and their signature French Sea Salt Caramels. With the popularity of Rachel's creations, she saw that there was a need and a desire in the local community for traditional foods and a desire for more exotic choices as the community experienced growth. Excited about the opportunity to expand into a new market, Rachel and Ruben expanded their business to include several treasured Family recipes like her Grandfathers's Pirogi and the Gaona family Tamale recipes. Spoonful of Sugar n Spice was formed in January of 2018. Since then, we have continued to grow and combined our passion for the history of food, the craftsmanship of keeping with traditional methods of cooking styles to form a business that is unique and completely our own. Family oriented and community focused, the Gaona's can often be seen working along side their children, Mia & Connor. Other times they can be found donating their time and services at various events to better their hometown of Coeur d' Alene and the surrounding Northern Idaho and Eastern Washington area.

Full service wedding catering, as well as corporate or private party catering.
We deliver to most of the surrounding area over a minimum of 25$, and during most holidays will set pick up locations. We also ship most items, even tamales! Drop us a line!
